Do you dream of taking a vacation but you can’t get the time off? Here is a fabulous solution to your problem! Serenity Now Massage Therapy can give you the bliss of a fabulous get-away while also making you feel invigorated and peaceful at the same time. It is the perfect alternative to an expensive vacation.
“The mission of Serenity Now Massage Therapy,” claims owner Amanda Taylor, “is to ensure that our clients receive the best care possible in order to leave our studio feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and recovered.”
Serenity Now Massage Therapy
Many of fourteen Serenity Now’s therapists carry additional certification in Neuromuscular Therapy and Structural Bodywork which allows these therapists to better help with pain management. They offer different therapeutic services including Sports Massage, Oncology Massage, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Prenatal Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Cupping Therapy, Integrative Reflexology, and even a Thai Foot Massage for tired feet.
In the Mooresville location, the owners are trying a new ‘five senses’ concept.
“We are working with a local artist named Justin Christenbery who has painted a large, custom canvas for each room,” states Amanda. Christenbery’s paintings create a theme for each room; plus, the décor and color complement his paintings – enhancing the mood when you enter each room.
There is a cave/waterfall room, a bamboo room, a mountain room, a flower/lavender room, an ocean room, and a forest room. This covers the sense of sight.
Each room is equipped with surround sound to immerse our clients into the experience as well as a diffuser to bring light, fresh aromas into the room. This covers the senses of sound and smell.
Of course we have touch covered with the massage.
Lastly is the sense of taste. What do many people love to eat when they feel stressed? Chocolate, of course!
“We would like to find a local artisan to create custom chocolates for our studios,” states Amanda. “We plan to leave a piece of chocolate for each client to enjoy at the end of the session.”
The purpose of the five senses concept is to create a holistic experience for the client that not only covers physical health, but also covers mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
One great thing about Serenity Now Massage Therapy is – they have many different therapists who specialize in different modalities. If a client wants to alleviate pain or stress; for example, the Serenity Now Team can match the client with a therapist who best fits their needs.
“With the new concept that we have introduced at our Mooresville location, we want each client to feel like they have been transported to a different, relaxing environment. Therefore, we cover stress and needing a break while also treating any pain or soreness that the client may have,” explains Amanda.
An added bonus regarding Serenity Now Massage Therapy is that they keep it simple. There is no membership and no add-on fees. All of their services are based on time and completely customizable for each individual client. They do not charge extra for aromatherapy, deep tissue, cupping, hot towels, etc. Whatever the client needs is what is provided as part of the session.
The prices are reasonable and focus on length of TIME — $54 for 30-minutes, $99 for 60-minutes, $146 for 90-minutes and $190 for 120-minutes. Prices remain consistent no matter which type of massage therapy the client picks.

Amanda attended Guilford College in Greensboro and received a B.S. in Biology and Health Sciences. She is currently in school for a Health Coaching Certification and plans to pursue a Masters in Functional Medicine.
Although Amanda was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, her family moved to the Lake Norman area shortly before she started the 7th grade at J. J. Alexander Middle School. Consequently, she is almost a native.
“Although I am not a massage therapist, I have a strong interest in holistic health and the power of massage,” says Amanda.
When the opportunity became available for Amanda to purchase the original Serenity Now Massage Therapy in Cornelius, she and her husband jumped at the chance to leave the corporate world and reinvent themselves in a business that felt more familiar and fulfilling.
In addition to owning Serenity Now, Justin – Amanda’s husband — also owns Waves Entertainment, a local audio/visual entertainment business.
Music lovers can find Justin and his “Waves Team” at many venues including Langtree Live concerts during the summer series.

Justin grew up on Lake Norman and earned a fine arts degree from Appalachian State University in 2004. He began creating live art for audiences in the NoDa arts district and fell in love with this more direct artist-to-community connection while performing at events in the region.
He has earned awards and countless commissions for his refined and vibrant approach to portraiture, abstraction, and large murals. While he claims his family as his greatest masterpiece, he is currently working on a new series of paintings that blend realism with the abstract.
When not painting or parenting he works to pave the way for future artists through his work with Lake Norman Creatives and other local organizations.
On a more personal note from Tesa Jones
Think about this philosophy regarding your health. What if at the beginning of your life — you are given ONE car and you are told that it is the only car you will have throughout your entire lifetime.
How will you treat it?
Guess what? You are given only one body – – and it has to last a lifetime. How are you going to treat it?
Keep in mind . . . the better you treat your body — starting at a young age – – the better your body will treat you as you journey through life.
A car will not last very long nor run very well if you do not take good care of it – and neither will a body. Tesa Jones
