Do you enjoy beautiful clothes? If so, Sweetpea Boutique is the place to shop! This classy “Hidden Treasure” is tucked between Mi Amchie and The Lake Norman Butchery at 356 Morrison Plantation Pkwy Suite B4 in Mooresville. It caters to ALL ages who love shopping for quality fashion.
A trio of ladies – grandmother Jorie, mom Annie and daughter Ella – created this lovely boutique. They opened their doors on September 1st, 2021 hoping COVID was on its way out and ladies would be ready to SHOP again. “To be honest,” says owner Annie Crutchfield, “we were nervous about our first year. But the people of this community came out to support local businesses! It was a great year for us! Thank you, Mooresville!”
“I am blessed to see a long time dream come true,” states Jorie Crutchfield. “To be doing it with my daughter-in-law and my granddaughter is so special.”
“Our Dream Boutique started with Jorie – my mother-in-law,” says owner Annie Crutchfield. “Jorie told me that one of her dreams – when she was young — was to have a boutique!”
Years ago, Jorie worked in a boutique called The Girlfriend and she loved it! “My youngest child, Ella, was 5-years-old at that time,” Annie Crutchfield states, “and she adored playing dress up all of the time!”
Fast forward to 2018 – Ella is growing up and still loves fashion. When Ella heard about her grandmother’s dream of owning a boutique, she enthusiastically agreed, “It is Gamma’s Dream – and I’m ready for a new adventure!” As a result, the trio decided to go for it!
When asked the origin of the boutique’s name, Annie responds, “Sweetpea Boutique is named after Ella. She is our Sweetpea. When you come to our store, take a look at our walls. Ella is there!”
Jorie and Ella are the inspiration for Sweatpea Boutique. “I run the day to day store hours,” claims Annie, “while Jorie comes in to help set up for each new season and Ella works as often as possible as she juggles school and soccer.”
Mooresville needed a multi-generational shopping experience under one roof – and Sweatpea Boutique is the answer to that community need. There is a perfect outfit in this adorable boutique for ladies of all ages.
After work, Sweet Dreams Mattress employee, Libra Pitts stops by Sweetpea Boutique. She is in search of an all occasion summer dress…. and she found it.
“I love Sweetpea Boutique,” says Libra Pitts. “The clothes are gorgeous, the accessories are unique and cute plus the prices are reasonable.”
Sweetpea Boutique prides itself on Southern Hospitality. “We love to make new friends with our customers, engage in conversation and truly offer great customer service,” says owner Annie Crutchfield.
Daughter Ella adds, “I want people to leave Sweetpea with confidence in who they are. Clothing is such a beautiful way to express ourselves and our personality.”
“Life’s not always easy nor is it promised,” says Annie “Our belief is to trust in The Lord no matter the circumstance.” After a slight pause, she adds, “You have a Friend at Sweetpea Boutique! Fashion is the Fun Part! We all want to feel great in our own way! We are here to help you find it!”
Currently Lori Ceraolo is the only additional employee. “Lori has been such a blessing to us,” Annie says. “She brings years of experience and expertise as a Professional Fashion Stylist and Visual Merchandiser.” In her spare time, Lori enjoys working with disabled veterans and volunteering at local animal shelters.
“Fashion – no matter what age you are — should express how unique and beautiful you are in every trend,” declares Sweetpea’s Professional Fashion Stylist Lori Ceralo. “When I style my clients, it’s about finding the perfect outfit to achieve this and much more. For a moment, I’m trusted and invited into my client’s life — sharing in her excitement, confidence and happiness.” Lori Ceraolo.
Multiple times a year, Sweetpea Boutique hosts Sip & Shop events, inviting ladies to enjoy appetizers while they sip on wine and shop for their next favorite outfit. Follow their website to see what’s new: sweetpeaboutiquemooresville.com
Not only is there a wide variety of outfits for all occasions, Sweetpea Boutique also has the latest accessories — including purses, hats, shoes, jewelry and even gift items for friends and family. In addition, there is a lovely assortment of earrings made by local artist “Jennie’s Creations.” More by this artist can be found on her website: https://www.etsy.com/shop/WildernessByJennie?
In addition, Sweetpea Boutique gives back to the community. They co-sponsor a Women’s Softball Team, donate to local schools plus the Saturday Sharing Group, and give items to Give Back Boutique a few times a year, which – if not sold – goes to The Christian Mission to help residents in need.
“We have a motto at Sweetpea – a special verse,” says Annie Crutchfield. “It’s Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and laughs without fear of the future”.
