In this video, hairstylist Sarah Paul demonstrates how to use a curling iron and “The Twist Out Method” to achieve the perfect beach waves.
Wrap your hair around the curling iron as you normally would, then instead of keeping the hair wrapped around the curling iron, twist your hair out and keep turning and twisting the curling iron all the way to the ends of your hair, as seen in the video.
Paul recommends curling 1 inch sections of hair. If you have short hair, use smaller sections. Those with long hair can take larger sections.
Curl away from your face for any sections around your hairline and then alternate directions for each section of hair after that.
After you have finished curling your hair, Paul recommends using Evo’s Shebang-a-bang dry wax spray to texturize the hair before using a wide tooth comb to gently brush out the curls.
Evo’s Haze styling powder is great for adding volume and when combined with Shebang-a-bang gives you gorgeous tousled beach hair.
