Tim “The Brew Chef” Schafer is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has been an accomplished Chef, restaurateur, caterer and consultant for the past 35 years. His New Jersey and North Carolina restaurants garnered high acclaim and well deserved accolades from top food critics as well as the masses of his loyal guests and followers. Since his last restaurant Chef Schafer has been consulting on many wonderful projects and have shared in their successes. Tim Schafer’s Catering has always specialized in a spectrum of events from small intimate dinner parties to customized elaborate affairs. Chef Schafer has catered for an extensive list of exclusive celebrity clients including an array of actors & entertainers along with many professional athletes from the NFL field to the homes & tracks of many NASCAR drivers & teams.
Tim relocated to Denver NC from Morristown NJ in 2004 and opened Tim Schafer’s at Lake Norman a popular restaurant in a historical home in the woods of Sherrills Ford. He is the father of three grown children Amanda, Shannon and Timmy Jr. We came to visit high school friends and immediately fell in love with the LKN community. I wanted to do something different to celebrate the season with friends this year. So I searched on the Lake Norman Eats page for a private chef to come to my house to cook for our group. Tim Schafer came highly recommended and wow, he did not disappoint! The food was outstanding and the service impeccable. I highly encourage you to contact him should you be looking to try something different. He does themed parties, cooking lessons and can basically tailor a menu to your liking and preferences.
He has extensive experience and knowledge that I’m positive he can help you with whatever you are planning.
