While there are many pizza joints in the Charlotte area, there are very few authentic Italian ones that are family-owned and locally focused. Tony’s Pizza is just that though!
From Brooklyn to North Carolina
Brothers Vinny, Mario and Tony, are from and grew up in Brooklyn. They’ve always been in the food business. Thanks to their Italian origins they love and know a thing or two about making pizza!
They left Brooklyn in 1981 and moved to the North Carolina coast. It was then that they officially opened Mario’s Pizza! They had a store in Jacksonville Mall and one in Havelock. At that time they focused solely on pizza.
From then to now, they’ve always offered authentic Italian-style pizza. Their recipes even date back to their family over in Calabria, Italy. To this day, these classic, family Italian recipes are incorporated into their dough and sauce. From Website – See Below – READ MORE
