- The Financial Advantage
On March 17, 2024, the Rotary Club of Huntersville hosted an extraordinary event known as “The Happy Hour,” showcasing Rotary’s steadfast dedication to supporting LKN Charities. This gathering exemplified Rotary’s core principles: serving others with compassion and integrity, both locally and globally.
Fifteen teams, composed of dynamic business, professional, and community leaders, came together to curate an unforgettable culinary experience. With sections dedicated to BBQ, chili, vegetarian delights, and tantalizing desserts, the event offered a feast for the senses, reflecting Rotary’s commitment to fostering goodwill through shared experiences.
The event was adorned with an array of enticing raffle items and featured numerous nonprofit organizations. Upon entering the Venue at Langtree, attendees were greeted with a clean plate, fork, and spoon, along with a helpful map detailing the room’s layout. Many of the food stands offered sample-sized portions neatly presented in clear plastic cups, allowing guests to savor a variety of flavors throughout the event.
Roy Boone, Richards Coffee Shop, served the first one. Mooresville, NC.
Then, I went to The Lake Norman Kiwanis Club. John Aneralla was supporting Kiwanis. He has served as Lieutenant Governor in the Carolinas Region of Kiwanis International and is a past president of the Lake Norman Kiwanis Club. He also served as Mayor of Huntersville.
I love how every dish was plated. It makes it easy to self-serve and clean.
I promised him that when women were allowed to be Rotarians, I would join a club. I did and also achieved the Paul Harris Fellow recognition in my first year of service. The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute $1,000 or have contributions made in their name to The Rotary Foundation.
Do yourself a favor and join a club in the Lake Norman Area. It will be the best decision for your growth and community! Thank you, Happy Hour Club, Rotary of Huntersville, NC. I do not want to miss another–Men That Cook!
