February was American Heart Month
Now that Healthy Heart Month is over, it is still a great time to take a CPR class and learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
On February 23rd, Managing Editor Ellen Stafford attended the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce’s CPR class led by Jaracz Swain from SafetyNET. Swain is LKNConnect’s SAFETY columnist who writes monthly about ways to keep us safe and healthy. In addition to participating in the class, Stafford interviewed Chamber President Bill Russell and instructor/retired firefighter/EMT Jaracz Swain. This class was authorized by the American Heart Association.
“It was a great, hands-on experience. I feel confident that I would know what to do in an emergency.” — Ellen Stafford
