North County Regional Library serves northern Mecklenburg County, including the towns of Huntersville, Cornelius and Davidson. Orignally opened in 1997, the building was renovated and re-opened on October 7, 2019 to offer nearly 24,860-square feet. North County Regional offers a large selection of books, designated spaces for children and teens, a Teen Loft, a makerspace, a vending cafe, meeting and study rooms, a large community room, and an exterior book/materials drop is part of the new traffic flow in the parking lot. North County Regional also has an efficient checkout system using radio frequency identification (RFID), an automated materials handling (AMH) unit – as well as many other features.
