I am Amanda Taylor, owner of Serenity Now Massage Therapy in Cornelius. Serenity Now Massage Therapy has been an established business since 2011. My husband and I became clients of Serenity Now in 2019 and were amazed at the professionalism, skill, and care provided by the therapists. Although we had enjoyed many massages over the years, we were unaware that we could feel THAT great after a massage! We began frequenting the studio and eventually found out that the owner at the time was planning to close down the studio due to the unknowns of Covid-19 as well as a career change. My husband and I were working at a manufacturing facility at that time and owned our own business, Waves Entertainment, in the Lake Norman area. After much thought, we decided to acquire Serenity Now Massage Therapy at the beginning of 2021 to ensure that these amazing therapists were able to continue serving the Lake Norman community.
We eventually transitioned out of corporate life into business ownership and currently focus our time on our two businesses, Waves Entertainment and Serenity Now Massage Therapy. We have the utmost respect for the previous owners of Serenity Now Massage Therapy and how well they established the studio over the years. We have enjoyed continuing this legacy and look forward to the future of Serenity Now. Our goal is to provide a space where our clients can come to escape the many stresses of life. We have recently opened an extension of the original studio which focuses on creating an “experience” for our clients including paintings by the very talented Justin Christenbery in each room to represent a different location such as the ocean or mountains. Our team looks forward to carrying over this idea to the original studio as well.
Serenity Now Massage Therapy currently offers fourteen different services which you can find on our website. In addition to offering Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, many of our therapists carry additional certification in Neuromuscular Therapy and Structural Bodywork which allows the trained therapist to break up adhesions in the connective tissue on top of muscles before using intense trigger point work to address deeper layers of muscle.
