Do you daydream at your desk, or in front of the laundry basket, of being at the beach, hearing the ocean waves, leaning back in your beach chair for that blissful moment of relaxation?
Is it that time of day when your energy is lagging, and you think coffee or chocolate is your only saving grace?
How about wiggling your toes in the sand — or better yet, Himalayan Salt right here in Cornelius? Oh yes, I’ve found a hidden gem that is not only relaxing and a good boost for the second part of my day, it knocks out my congestion and clears my head! I feel like a whole new person when I’m done. Plus, I sleep most soundly the night of a session.
Guests can remove their shoes right away and rest their feet on a warm lit up salt sphere — oooh warm toes — it’s the perfect check in!
Halotherapy has been proven to cleanse, clear mucus, kill bacteria, increase lung function and reduce inflammations. It is a natural, drug-free, non-invasive therapy for respiratory and skin ailments as well.
I settle into my beach chair, put my toes in the salt, cover up with a cozy blanket and drift away to the ocean waves spa music and just relax for 25 minutes surrounded in a calm salt light. I’m a whole new person when the spa tech quietly slips in to tell me my salt oasis session has completed.
It’s a perfect quick getaway and treat for yourself or with friends and family. I attended a group session with “My Ladies Luv Adventures” group — we had a marvelous time. They even offer children’s day, when you can bring your kiddos with you and they can play in the salt!
They also offer Infrared Light Therapy. The custom-made detox bed combines the health effects of low-EMF infrared heat and Himalayan salt. This therapy dramatically improves the release of nitric oxide in your body. This powerful molecule helps relax arteries and allows blood, nutrients and oxygen to travel efficiently. It often results in pain relief due to injured, tired, or aching tissues.
I interviewed spa manager, Dianne Neal.
I generally browse and pick up a few gift items (some for myself) from their cute boutique style lounge. They sell many salt products, including soaps, salt scrubs, lights and much more. The inventory changes often, so I leave with a new batch of goodies each time. How convenient is that? Health benefits and shopping fix in one stop!
For the months of November and December, they are offering a customer appreciation special to new and existing customers. Halotherapy for only $15 for a 25-minute session and $25 for 50-minute sessions (which is half off!). The infrared Light Therapy Bed is $25 for 45 minutes (a $20 savings).
You can find more information about Halotherapy and Infrared Light Therapy on their website LKNSaltSpa.com.
