I was out antique/vintage shopping with my girlfriend Adrienne in Cornelius and we were hungry for lunch. We didn’t have a lot of time and I remembered one of my favorite quick lunch spots — Osito’s Tacos & Tortas. Osito means little bear and the decor includes plenty of paw prints! You should also bring your hungry appetite because you’ll want to try a little of everything!
Most everyone is familiar with a taco but what is a torta? Tortas are Mexican style sandwiches served with guajillo ranch seasoned fries. We were both in the mood for tacos and Osito’s has some of the best.
The tacos arrived piping hot with fresh, delicious ingredients. It was a marvelous lunch!
Al pastor port tenderloin, cabbage, charred pineapples, avocado poblano crema, and pickled red onions.
Fried black bean croquetas, lettuce, pico, and avocado poblano crema.
I have been to Osito’s several times. Each time I try something different. Each time the food has been delicious! Try to save room for dessert, their churros are yummy.
